About the Lodge
Our Lodge is named after one of the Earls of Dalhousie who were Grand Master of Masons in Scotland in the early 1800’s. The Earls of Dalhousie were leaders of Clan Ramsay in Scotland and their Crest is a unicorns head couped Argent armed Or and their Motto is ORA ET LABORA (from Latin: "pray and work"). Dalhousie Lodge inherited the Crest and Motto and still uses these today.
Charity is a big part of being a Mason and we support several charitable causes such as:

-
The Shriners Burns Hospital Children's Transportation Fund, which transports children to Shriners Hospitals free of charge to the family
-
The Red Cross Blood Donation Drives, held at the Newtonville Masonic Building
-
The Masonic Angel Fund for needy children in local schools
-
The Masonic Learning Centers for children with dyslexia
The Lodge is centrally located in Eastern Massachusetts, just minutes from Mass Turnpike at the center of Newtonville. A tour of our Lodge in Newton can be arranged to suit any schedule.
